... from Saturday 15 Jan 2004 is here http://www.timesonline.co.uk/printFriendly/0,,1-3-1440549,00.html

It comments on LAX dragging its heals.

The article in the paper itself also shows Virgin having six on order. This is eclipsed by Emirates with no fewer than 43 on order.

Also today's Sunday Times: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/printFriendly/0,,1-528-1441771,00.html

ÒWith separate gangways for each deck, you wonÕt even notice that you are flying with so many other passengers,Ó said an executive

I am sure you will notice your fellow passengers when you all try and get through Immigration in the US ;)

V interesting article - thanks for the links howard.

This comes down to a quieter airliner with 20 per cent lower costs per seat than the 747 and 10 per cent greater range at up to 9,000 miles. Fuel consumption, at 3 litres per passenger for 100km, is less than that of a small car, Airbus says.

With figures like this, on the face of it, I can see why they would appeal to airlines. Will be interesting to see how they work out in practice.

Yes, it was cheap as chips over there in CPT for the food and the wine. Coincidentally the GF & I bumped into the crew taking us home in one restaurant over there.

Off to Brisbane in ten days so I'll miss the Post Christmas party. Haven't decided whether to go via SYD and take VS or go direct... for FF points I should go VS, but as I'm only there for three days I waste at least another half day travelling if I go via SYD. Choices, choices...

I read in the economist (posh ain't I:D) that "Sir Richard talks about adding Gyms, bars, beauty parlours casinos and private beds - to give you two chances to get lucky" - You would think you would notice your fellow passengers sharing a bed with you. Particularly if they looked like my first wife!
