But what about us associate-less people - is that not dilution? [:D]

Syaing that my Centurion account is full of hangers-on and people fighting who gets the main supplementary (Black) - oh that be my family then..... the fun my brother, low ranking member of the Royal Navy rolling around Portsmouth with a AmEx Platinum - always a good way to win friends and influence people.... Thanks,
Richard

Sure - seems like a very reasonable request. Same membership number, but partner's name on card & tags.

Pix ...

My card and tags arrived today ... which I think was extremely quick seeing as we are dealing with both the U.K. and U.S. postal 'services' !! [:D]

My wife thinks that the tags are as attractive as I do ... and she also would like to order some of those 'associate' tags (with or without that special feature that you granted me Pix .. *chuckle*)

I look forward to seeing instructions on how we can do this 'Associate Member' tag order!

This Membership Kit was a wonderful idea Pix ... and the associate tags (if eventually implimented) will be great too!

Ok, consider the 'partner kit' officially available. Same membership number & kit colour as main member, and would include the card & 2 tags as per the main member. Only additional info I'd need when ordering is the main member's membership number (unless ordering at the same time).

I'll be ordering my Silver once I have enough posts.
So much choice now as what to put on my bags at check in: my v-flyer, my amex plat or my actual VS tags.

Hey all three!

Also, this is such a great site. Since October its probably my number one hit. Would change it to my homepage but I like bbc news to keep me on top of things. Thanks for all the useful posts and tools!

Dean

p.s how soon is it until v-flyer tags pop up on ebay [:D]

Pix ...

Mrs. Palsgraf's 'associate tags' arrived and she too is very pleased with them!

Both of us will proudly display the V-Flyer membership tags on our carry-on bags on flight 020 (USC) to LHR this coming Sunday and our return to SFO on flight 019 on 20 JUL!

Ya know .... this is a wonderful forum to which to belong!!

It would have been great to meet up with you for a visit Michael.

Now all you have to do is modify your trip and fly on the 11th to SFO instead of SMF ... throw away your G-class return for the 12th ... 'obtain' (I leave it to your expertice to determine how [:D]) a UCS one-way on VS20 for the 11th instead of the 12th ... and join Mrs. Palsgraf and I in the SFO Clubhouse.

With those 'minor modifications' to your itinerary we could meet and have a drink or two.

Shouldn't be too much of a problem for someone who likes to count cards at Blackjack, ehh Michael? [:D]

Jim - ROTFLMAO, ok, that sounds easy enough to do [:D]

Bazz - Card Counting? I wish I could! Though I'm sure the drinking ocurring during the next 4 days will make it hard enough to count to 21 [:D]

Cheers

I suspect I know the answer, but is there an automatic upgrade, or would we have to stump up another GBP10 once we went over a posts threshold? Could we get the online status upgraded without the tags?

Just to let everyone know, I'm taking a break in the sun next week, so if you have any desperate need for a membership kit before the end of the month, can you get an order off by tomorrow so I can get them in Friday's post.

mitch - I got your order and will process it asap. [:)]

Well, the purpose of the membership kits is to raise cash to cover the costs of the site, with any surplus going to the Edinburgh Festival sponsorship. I guess now a lot of those who originally got their kits are now entitled to a higher status, there should be some kind of discounted upgrade programme, say GBP7.50 (25% discount) instead of a tenner to get a new kit. Your comments are welcome, since V-Flyer is a democracy, after all [;)]

hmmmm ...

/me ponders the futility of any web site owner attempting to operate a site as a true 'democracy'

Thanks, Pete for the associate kit which arrived this morning. You'll know in my circumstances that my membership level is red but the associate one is silver due to exceeding a post threshold. I had thought my avatar might change, too, as a result of the new purchase.

If it doesn't,I might be happy to 'upgrade' by ordering a minimum of 2 tags at the rate for the other tags in the store, i.e. 2.99 each. I wouldn't be bothered about another membership card though.
