That's great news Pete and Richard. This has the makings of being a "do and a half" ;)

We seem to have well over half the mods team going, what about a few more of you members out there, this is open to all, not just a selected few! We are a hospitable bunch; don't be shy, come and join the fun [8D]

:)

Isn't the SFO Clubhouse going to be the place to be in the afternoon of 12th November -a nd there will be no shortage of 'guest' spaces as there are a number of VS Golds and J passengers.

As Bazz says, its open to all members - please free to visit, we're a friendly bunch and anyone that has been on a V-Flyer social will tell you, they are never dull or boring!

Thanks,
Richard

Great to hear you're joining us Pete and Richard [8D].

Interestingly, the availability on the 20 that day is currently:
J7 D7 Z0 W7 S6 K0 Y7 B7 L7 M7 Q7 X7 N7

Are VS closing down restricted classes and leaving the expensive ones open because of unusually high UC bookings this early on? D7 Z0 is pretty strange I would say. It's like Revenue Management have twigged there's something going on around that time.

Premier Team think it is strange too - let's think kindly of Revenue Management and imagine that by removing Zs they're ensuring people DON'T book paying seats leaving plenty available for Gs the week before :)

OK Buns and I in PE VS20 on the 12th - alongside Messrs Shaw and Mannion :>

Well that's great news and I have to update my itinerary posting YET AGAIN TODAY! :D

So, where are you guys seated? I thought Messrs Shaw and Mannion were in 7K and 8K or were we barking up the wrong tree?

ps Just noticed it's not today any more. If you follow.

Due to the fact some bloke from Essex got in before us, we'll be in PE ;)

Please feel free to bring us back the odd bag of peanuts... Although I booked an S class ticket to give me more options at the airport (all bets are off at the airport...!)

Seems revenue have pulled all the Zs and no Gs left so we're all Pe in the bubble until they release some Gs [:(]

Essex? SHURELY NOT? That's disgusting. :D

BTW, i've just got back from a cracking night out in Southend and everything they say about Essex is completely true. Fantastic.

Guys, thanks for all the kind birthday wishes. Mrs F certainly did excell herself with the pressie. I checked ticket class, Z, she obviously nicked it before they closed them down. I 'll forgive her for the lack of the limo:D

Great to see so many v-flyers now commited. The VS20 is going to be one hell of a flight.

all the best

The other thing that would be nice too, is if some of the many VS crew that are on here could either get on the VS20 or work the VS20 flight on the 12th Nov. It would be great to met you guys too. :)

That's a neat idea. But will they want to be serving champagne to the likes of us for 10 straight hours!? It'll be like rubbing it in a bit!:D

Are there ANY seats left on the plane for this trip?

I've not been to Vegas but I'm quite tempted by the idea of meeting all you strange people in a place that is equally bizarre...[:p]

Perhaps one flight to observe you all in your natural habitat would be most amusing and I like the idea of flying back from San Francisco - I take it there are plenty of flights from Vegas to SF?

Daisy

You would be more than welcome to join us. There are plenty of seats left ;). Everyone is making their own way out there and meeting up in Vegas on or just after Monday 7th November.

The place to be on the way back is VS20 Saturday 12th from SFO;)

There are plenty of flights from LAS to SFO. HP (America West) if you want to earn miles, but United seem to be the cheapest and most frequent direct flight.

We hope you can join us - we are a friendly bunch... honest :D

Daisy - lots of seats - just very few reward seats left for this period! If you want to travel on Sunday 13th there's still plenty of rewards direct from LAS! Plenty of flights from LAS to SFO...

Perhaps you can be our resident anthropologist ;)

Hmmmm Anthropologist eh? I was thinking it would be more amusing to take pictures of you all once you were all past the point of caring/coping... :D:D Perhaps a new career in blackmailing is just what I need! [}:)] Except that you all seem so funny and nice that I probably couldn't follow through [:(]

OK, I'll have a look at some dates and flights and will post again soon. :):)

We've tried the blackmail - it just doesn't work. We're shameless [}:)]. Excellent news - the more the merrier!

VS20 on 12 Nov sounds like the flight to be on (or to avoid - depends on your perspective!) and I'm tempted to join you. As a (mostly) lurker on v-flyer, I'd have to be the one hovering around the bar on the flight saying little for most of the time, but throwing in a (hopefully) pithy comment every now and again.

Sadly, I'll have to wait and see what work is throwing towards me at the time. In the meantime I have two (light-hearted) questions:

1. How long do you expect the bar on-board bar stock to last, and what's likely to run out first? And how about a sweepstake on the first item to run out, with the added difficulty of guessing how long the stock lasts?

2. Completely unrelated to Vegas, but how come LROM's recent photos show empty CHs? I've never seen clubhouses, especially Revivals, without other people, and I'm beginning to suspect that everyone leaves as he turns up.;) Alternatively, perhaps he breaks-in to them when they're closed in order to get the perfect picture! Anyway, come on, Richard - what's the secret?

Come what may, I hope you continue to enjoy the whole planning process for this trip, and that the event turns out to be just as good as it sounds - and that's pretty good!

Best wishes

David

Thanks for your good wishes, David.

With regards to the bar stock - we are giving VS enough notice of our intentions, so they should have plenty of time to ordre extra supplies:D:D

The beauty of the way we are organising things, is that no one HAS to commit themselves (though a lot already have [8D] ). If you feel like joining us - right up to the last minute, I am sure we will be able to make room ;) We welcome pithy comments ;)

I will leave LRoM to let you into the secret of how to get empty clubhouses :)

Hi DavidM,

How do I get photos of empty Clubhouses? Now theres a good question.

I turn up early to the lounges to make the most of them, or alternatively wait until certain sections are clear. Certain days and times are quiet at each CH and its knwoing these that help. And to be honest people seem to move out of the way when they see a camera in the CH (well apart from staff that is, Becky and Kirsty at Revivals in particular), and some of the staff know that if I am taking a picture or two, they know where its going to end up!

Hope this answers your question,
Richard

I just realised that I took that photo of the strip, up there ^ on the left of the social banner! :D

As good a reason as any to bump this thread!

Indeed you did ;)

And I wonder if the photographer of the SFO Clubhouse on the right can spot their handywork too?
