Hi,

You may have noticed recently that I've not been around as much as I normally am as I have been sentenced by pixuk to write lots of new content (and update some of the existing content) for the V-Book. So over the past couple of months, we've both been busy writing and compiling the new, second and updated version of the V-Book.

There is lots of new useful reference material, including popular topics and items that you guys have asked for like a break down of fare basis, guide on RTW tickets, airport maps, and a huge new updated section on schedules going through to next year.

All contained in a travel friendly size book of 180 pages. So if you want to have some of the useful information from the site to hand when travelling, no better avenue than this! I know I will be carrying a copy round in my laptop bag as I'm getting old and the grey matter is not as sponge like as it used to be :)

Available here:
http://www.v-flyer.com/store.asp?cc=Books

And if you are quick, I have a $5 discount code you can use but the discount expires on 13th April (so you have 5 days) - enter the coupon code of 'GARDENBABIES' at the order screen.

Thanks,
Richard

It is a great book, full of all you need to know about flying with VS, and a lot more besides.

If you are very lucky, Pix and Richard will be available at future V-Flyer socials to sign copies, which may one day become collector's items ;):D

Tried to use GARDENBABIES, but ut is only valid on items over $20.00. Could the book cost $20.00 (one cent more to save $4.99?) :)

You never know, I may even bring my special silver pen that I use for people on the elusive Mannion Christmas Card list - now that is special :)

Seriously though, it is a handy format to have the data and information in and I know my copies will get extensive use.

Thanks,
Richard

Hi everyone! After a few weeks lurking about I decided to join this morning. I just bought the V-book and only saw the discount code[:0] afterwards! Is there any way I can still claim my $5.00 discount or is it too late? I'm such a muppet! Thanks.

Sadly not - the book sales are handled through CafePress, so I can't credit anything that goes through their system [:(]

Thanks for that, well it's only $5! Out of interest, why's the book being dispatched from California? I guess that's where it's being printed?

Got another $5 coupon, good until 19th Apr - GARDENFILES

Also, if you're ordering other stuff from CafePress at the same time, for orders of $35 or more you can get up to $7 off your shipping using the coupon MOM05 until 26th Apr.

Not a huge amount, but then we're a pretty small and focused group here ;)

Small and focused and POWERFUL
from the advertising info, 22% of V-Flyers are Gold. So 235 gold members based on a forum membership of 1037 or 1.17 % of gold card holders (based on 20,000 golds)

V-Flyer rocks and thanks to all

and those figures are just the people who could be bothered to register. Individual hits to the site are orders of magnitude bigger than this!

Interesting to see that the results (so far) of the So who/what are you! poll seem to roughly follow that figure too :)

Cheers

It seems this site has all the information anyone could want about VS on it. If its not an impertanent question, whats the book got that the site ain't?

Phrased another way, go on guys, sell to me!

a) accessibility at the airport
b) space to record TRs for submission here
c) helps fund the site
d) brand recognition whilst travelling
