So the three months previously stated by Singapore Airlines was a bit of an understatement then [:(]
Let's hope it is only six months.

Unlikely - if it's testing & certification that are at the root of the delay, then the production line will be backlogged - all orders would be affected unless they increase their capacity.

Slightly OT, but those that would like to actually SEE the A380 first-hand/eye(?) can do at The Paris Air Show from June 13-19.
According to this link, Airbus have it as a "Flying Display" during the event...

US media are saying that a combination of factors is behind the delay: late delivery from suppliers, plus logistics of design/installation of the many different cabin customizations.
Qantas went so far yesterday to say that there are "guarantees" built into its contract with Airbus and that late delivery could result in Airbus paying late fees to the carrier. If the tardy deliveries multiply, the Qantas official speculated that these late fees could run into the millions of dollars.
Airbus' reply was that they'd already said that the 380 deliveries wouldn't begin until the second half of the year.
Just dreaming, I suppose, but when this bird finally flies it will be a wonderful opportunity for a VFlyer social![8D]
