You GO, Paul H!!! [y]

Silly bindippers...thieves and pillagers. Scousers.

Your mum's out thieving,
Your dad's drug-dealing,
So please don't take my hubcaps away.

That boy Ronaldo, will make you look...[:I]

2-0 against a hard-fighting Blackburn. I reckon Hughesy should be proud of the lads for putting up the fight when they were down a man.

Nonetheless, WE WON!!! [y]

No point to a thread of that name as everyone knows the answer: Never enough! [:p]

Well done MU.
I am not saying Blackburn would have come back from two down (crazy 90 seconds and it is good night Vienna), but I felt sorry for the 75000 people who would have seen a much better game had it been 11 v 11 for the whole match. I thought Ryan Giggs was better than Ronaldo though even though Ronaldo got the goals. Wonder how it might have gone had Samba`s strike gone in instead of rattling the post at 0-0?
I am sure that at the start of the season when Mark Hughes looked at the fixture list of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd in the first twelve fixtures, he would have bitten the hand off anyone who offered him 22 points.

Arsenal currently spanking Reading by the looks of things...so that means the table is closed back up once again.

Good debate sparked by the unspecial one about him having the best squad he has ever had since arriving at Man U- my view is that it will only be special once it has bettered his 3 cup winning side of 99.

HA HA HA SCOTLAND

What a bunch of pikers...already behind in the first minute. I used to cheer for any team in the UK (unless they played England) but the Scottish b*llocks that gets hurled at England when they have an important game converted me into a haggis hater.

So imagine my glee when Italy just now scored. HAHAHAHA SCOTLAND!!!

The guardian show the list below as the hardest hit goals.
On 'you tube', Steven Reid is shown as 189Km/Hour against Wigan. This = 117 mph.
Is there a definative list on the `net that records the hardest hit goal?

1) David Hirst - 114mph (for Sheffield Wednesday @ Arsenal on September 16 1996)
2) David Beckham - 97.9mph (for Man Utd v Chelsea on February 22 1997)
3) David Trezeguet - 96mph (for Monaco @ Man Utd on March 19 1998)
4) Richie Humphreys - 95.9mph (for Sheffield Wednesday v Aston Villa on August 17 1996)
5) Matt Le Tissier - 86.8mph (for Southampton v Newcastle on January 18 1997)
6) Alan Shearer - 85.8mph (for Newcastle v Leicester on February 2 1997)
7) Roberto Carlos - 85.2mph (for Brazil v France on June 3 1997)
8) Tugay - 84.2mph (for Blackburn @ Southampton on November 3 2001)
9) Obafemi Martins - 84mph (for Newcastle @ Tottenham on January 14 2007)

Not sure how they figure this? Is there a sensor or do they do it off the camera? Hmmm...

Also, if this list is accurate, I'm surprised not to see Gerrard with one or more on here...

As it would be impolite not to thank Israel for doing what was considered unlikely (although they are not prone to losing at home if you care enough to check the record), I say, 'Thank you, Team Israel!' [y]

BUT, to have to rely on another team to put us (England, duh) in a favourable position for Euro 2008 is disappointing and absolutely demands the dismissal of the manager if we cannot beat Croatia at the midweek.

Let us see what mettle the Three Lions have, and let there be no doubt that the FA will dump that apple-cheeked boob if the result is not what we need it to be.

Now...as for Scotland...[}:)]...the droning on of 'Oh what a brave show' and 'We should have won' and -- that old standard of the loser -- 'The referee was a scandal!' has already begun. Booo-hooo-hooo.

The truth of the matter is that there were absolute sitters out there all day long that Scotland could not convert to goals. It was pathetic finishing and they looked to being unable to hit Edinburgh Castle with a haggis from five paces. They choked, big time. [:o)]

And before you try to smother me in a blue and white flag, mind you, the same level of stick -- more, actually -- will be issuing from this keyboard should England fail to qualify Wednesday.

My loyalties are definately split. Part of me wants England not to get through so McClaren gets the shove but the majority of me wants us to get through and qualify.
S.Mc. has just been on the news again with the Max Clifford inspired Cheshire cat grin trying to instill confidence. Newspapers have also reported that 40,000 English fans have already booked for Austria next year! I am sure they are all sleeping soundly knowing that we can always bring on the mighty Stewart Downing if we get in a fix against Croatia.
