You can park on any road side around the coast and see the launch.

I cant remember the road numbers, but, the road that heads away from Orlando towards the Coast takes you to a large bay where you have uninterupted views across the water to Cape Canaveral.

Hope you get to see the Launch, it is spectacular.

I have been lucky enough to see about 8 launches- two of those close up- and it still never ceases to amaze me. It is truly fantastic. I do have some pics on my Facebook page for those of you that are my buddies!

We stood watching when NASA had two shuttles ready to go (The first time this had happened) I was taking pic's and asked my son to use the video (Bad move, Dad!) we now have 20 seconds of the shuttle on the launch pad and everyone screaming, clapping and shouting and then a voice say's 'wrong shuttle son'!!! Then we see the right shuttle.

We have seen three launches and the noise and heat you feel several minutes after the lift off is something else? It never ceases to amaze me.

It really is highly recommended to go and see a launch, good luck.

Not sure if NASA / Kennedy Space Center still offer the tickets where you are bussed out to a grassy knoll, but if they do, grab them if you can. The cost is virtually next to nothing and for me (as someone who grew up during the Apollo Programme) the running commentary for Mission Control just evokes the sense of being part of it[y][y]

I just remember that as the countdown reached the climax, everyone stood up and a hush descended on the whole area went quiet for that moment of lift off.

Thanks guys. Think we are going to go to Spaceview Park in Titusville. Clear view across the water to Pad 39B and they have a countdown timer and nasa commentary on a PA system.

Really stoked now, can't wait to go and just hope it launches OK on time. We have tickets for Disney MVMCP that night so hopefully be back in time.

Thanks but we are going to watch it from Spaceview Park. Bit worried about paying the $230 for the two of us in case its scrubbed. Spoken to 4 people now who have seen the shuttle launches and everyone has been scrubbed at least 1 day so don't want to risk it.

Just hope it does launch as we can't make it back any other days...

Fingers crossed!
