Surprisingly not publicised too much in the media as it goes against all the current money making global warming schemes. The Weather Channel founder has challenged Al Gore to stand up in court and defend his evidence.
It was reported in the Daily Mail in a small paragraph on something like page 576.

Weather Channel Founder Blasts Network; Claims It Is 'Telling Us What to Think'
TWC founder and global warming skeptic advocates suing Al Gore to expose 'the fraud of global warming.'

Coleman told an audience at the 2008 International Conference on Climate Change on March 3 in New York that he is highly critical of global warming alarmism.

The Weather Channel has been an outlet for global warming
Coleman also told the audience his strategy for exposing what he called the fraud of global warming. He advocated suing those who sell carbon credits, which would force global warming alarmists to give a more honest account of the policies they propose.

Sounds a bit paranoid...though most scientists agree that 'the media' attributes way too many normal weather patterns to global warming. But this story actually was carried by news outlets, but he made this announcement in January. It also doesn't help that he's a bit crazy, has lost his reputation, and that TV 'meteorologists' are not climatologists-they are trained to look at and analyze two completely different things, the latter looks at much more long-term patterns going back thousands of years.

Do we really need another global warming debate on this forum?[ii]
