Some of us who have been around for ages will recall that for the past 3 years or so, I've never managed to get my Flying Club renewal pack to arrive without some sort of manual intervention.

I was half expecting to have to go with some other proof of my Au status on my BOS trip in the first week of March, as my card expires as the end of Feb.

Well, I was pleasantly surprised this morning when my Au renewal pack arrived, a clear week before the expiry of the existing card.

Credit where credit is due for making this process work!

Co-incidentally, my UA Mileage Plus renewal also arrived this morning, too.

Cheers,
Mike

It is nice that the system is now mended, however I don't think that you would have had any problem when travelling on VS without your new card.

Most of the Clubhouses know who to expect from each flight as they have a print out in advance. Certainly the touch screen system at LHR is spot on. It lists all the Au cardholders on each flight.

Yep, mine has arrived before the expiry of my Au card too! [y]

Nick - your Au card will have an extra month on it anyway as a grace period to allow your new card to turn up (assuming you have renewed). So if you member ship year ends say 04/2008, your card will actually say 05/2008.

Thanks,
Richard

My Silver runs out at the end of this month and I was delighted to find around the 12th Feb the new Silver card arrive... only problem was that they'd sent me an exact duplicate of my card, so I now have two that run out at the end of this month... splendid

Hehe, yep, one flight it listed me 20 times, pretty much a whole screenful.

I hit 40 TP on 23/2 and my FC account now shows me as Au - when should I expect to receive an Au membership card and pack?

Mine ran out the end of last month, I re-qualified in Feb but still no renewal pack. I guess there must be a delay with the new style HEX/GEX upgrade card which replaces the vouchers.

And I can report it wasn't worth the wait [;)]

5-in-1 is all it is, which I am thinking means you can still use it 'creatively' (eg have your BH sitting next for you), save for actually detaching the coupon and giving it to someone else.

Still no card. [:(!] FC say there's a big backlog. Oh I hope the golds aren't treated like this. [:o)]

Same here, and it's been nearly 9 weeks since I re-qualified[n]

I had a reply to an e-mail about 3 weeks ago (which took them 20 days to reply to!!) that my pack was on it's way, but it's still not here!!

My new Silver pack arrived in the post this morning. I qualified after my return flight on May 15th, so less than a month [:)]

You would of thought that those who have gained the colours though flying rather than CC promotions would get preference...
But I still think the world is flat

Mine has also finally arrived, a mere 12 weeks late!

I noticed on the card that there is another code on it along the same line as the expiry date. It is one letter followed by six numbers, its on the luggage tag too. Out of curiosity, does anybody know what this is for?

Anyone had their silver renewal pack recently? How long did it take to arrive after you renewed? Been a month now for me.

Sorry to drag this thread back up again but has anyone received their silver renewal pack lately?.
I've just spoken to FC who told me it could take up to another 6 weeks[n] which will only make it a total of 6 months late[|)]

Yes I received mine a couple of days ago after qualifying back in June for Silver (through flying, not CC...) and my husband is still waiting for his. Required several emails and finally a long phone call to sort it out.

That's a bit appalling in terms of the length, particularly for a qualifying one. Do any recently renewed AUs know if the cards are still the same disgustingly tacky design?

My wife's and my own silver pack turned up a couple of weeks after re-qualifying.

Erm yup, mine hidden in travel wallet and old V-Flyer baggage tags in use (aka 'I prefer the pointy bit').
