So I'm sitting on the train right now going into Paddington, and I have one of those 3 USB modem thingies that allow me to connect to the 'net over 3G. I have my headphones plugged into my laptop, as I'm attempting to search iTunes for a song I need. Suddenly, the song previews from iTunes are mixed with an odd static, which then clears up to a perfectly clear voice talking about the airspeed we're doing (at this point I've taken out the headphones to check whether the voice isn't originating from the train, but no - it's coming from my computer). After a couple of minutes of listening to some explanation of the way lift works, the voice then established this was an airship talking.

Very, very odd. I then disconnected the USB modem, and the voice went away.

Yup, my folks in Watford get to listen to LHR traffic every morning as the 744s go right overhead. Interupts R4 Today for about 10 seconds each time.

Almost as exciting as when JB fletcher got a crossed line, overhears about a murder, then solves it all from her bed.

(I was working at home that day with the TV on [:w] )
