Thanks

I'll take the oppertunity to explain cricket to the locals

'You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side that's been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. Sometimes you get men still in and not out.
When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out.
When both sides have been in and all the men have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game.

Well I went last night and really enjoyed the experience. Ignoring the fact that the Giants lost 9-4 (I crept out at then end of the 7th [:I]) I found myself really getting into the spirit of the thing.

I did learn very early on to keep an eye on the ball at all times, especially after one ricocheted on the empty 3 up from me. I didn't catch it though as self-preservation kicked in.

Certainly won't be my last game and sat here writing this in my new 50 anniversary t-shirt[:D]

Plllaaaayyyy BALL!!!

Glad you had a great time.

Been a few times and it's such a great experience except for the Evil Empire fans.

Did any homers splash in to McCovey Cove? It's the part of the Bay that's behind right-field.

Instead of the foot long hot-dog[:w], did you have a chilli dog?

No foot-long. HL - you should be ashamed of yourself!!! [V][;)]

No bay shots, total stands at 47

I did have a hot dog and was still tasting it the next day, so I guess I got the experience twice. [:D]

Really glad you enjoyed it. It is just a wonderful evening especially when the weather is as nice as it was on Tuesday. I found myself in the courtyard at Cigar Bar until the early hours, and it is just great when you can do that in the city.

Since Barry Bonds has gone into rehab, bay shots are a rarity indeed. I think it's 47 by the giants, about 15 or so by opponents, so 62, and Bonds had 35. So you get 3/4 a year now ....
