the actions of a few stewards have really upset me as I've been a staunch supporter of F1 for20 odd years. I've barely missed a race in that time and in doing so believe in my convictions when I have to defend it as being boring and processional.

however I now have no excuse to defend it anymore - as soon as you get some decent overtaking, it is slammed down with penalties.

we now get 25 second penalties handed after the races (btw where the f00k does 25 secs come from? oh yeah it's enough to promote a Ferrari driver)

This year I persuaded my wife to start watching with me and she has generally enjoyed watching, however today she walked out in frustration and I had no excuse for F1 to keep her there.

We all know that championships down to the wire are great - just remember the 94 - 97 seasons (& many more I can't recall at the moment!) BUT to contrive them is fooling nobody and encourages the papers to slag the sport off more thereby killing its long term future.

How can we ever expect DOnnington/Silverstone to get investment if people give up watching, which they will if something isn't done soon, after all how many penalties would Shumacher have got if he was racing today.

Oh and shouldn't Damon Hill be triple world champion by now?!

Sorry for rant but I'm P155ED Off [:(!]

25 Seconds is given because it is generally accepted that this is the amount of time that would be lost if they driver was given a drive through penalty during the race.

yep I have to agree that decision is unbelievable. As far as I could see, both Massa spins were of his own making. The sooner McLaren kick start a rival series to F1 the better.

And Rightfully P155ED OFF, The F1 Circus is a real laughing shambles and should be disposed of immediatley.

Ferrari must be digging deep to keep someones palm greased and it is becomming TOO OBVIOUS, Massa hits a car fine he gets a drive through, he then hits another car (Bourdais) who has absolutely NOWHERE to go and gets promoted up a place???? Hamilton however passes cars at the start, does not hit anybody and gets a drive through??

Bernie Ecclestone and Max Moseley and all the old duffers should 'RESIGN WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT' give us back our F1 and let the drivers race, if they crash then deal with it bit not when they nearly bump!!

Maybe it is time for a rival series, it worked in the USA?

It is no secret that Max Mosley hates Ron Dennis and Mclaren and also that he is very good friends with Luca Di Montezemolo so it is no surprise to me that Ferrari are getting favours at Mclaren's expense.

I find the current Mclaren bashing by the stewards and the FIA very annoying and feel it is driving many away from the sport - Mosley should have gone!

Here's hoping Lewis scores well enough in the two remaining races to clinch it but another episode like that first corner fiasco today will loose it for him, he really showed his immaturity - doesn't he know that races are never won on the first corner but they can be lost?!

I bet if the McLaren drivers were women all dressed as SS then Mosley would be right in it.

In my view, Hamilton won't win again this year. As Bazz says, he is showing a lack of maturity and is just trying too hard. This leads to silly mistakes, position and points lost.

Nice to see someone else other than LH on the bad end of a Ferrari favouring decision and questioning it: 'what was I supposed to do, roll out the red carpet?'.

What was Sebastien Bourdais supposed to do, drive off the circuit? Massa clearly drove into Bourdais who was simply exiting the pits, how on earth the stewards can penalise Bourdais 25 seconds dropping him a position and a point is simply beyond me.

If it were any team other than Ferrari it would have been the other driver that would have been penalised.
