The dress rehearsal went surprisingly well today, and I'm sitting in the pub now waiting for the first preview... fingers crossed!

How did the opening night go?

First night went really well, although the audience was a bit quiet (happens sometimes). Last night we had The Times in, and the audience was much louder, so we're all rather happy.

Official press night is tonight, so I'm hoping it'll be another good one!

Now booked. Will probably drive up and either park at Osterley then tude in or park at the N1 Islington.

Are we indulging in a pre-performance drink anywhere?

As The King's Head is a pub, you're not too far from a pint

What's a Premium seat?
#702689 by Pete
19 Dec 2008, 16:59
For the extra 2.50, they reserve you a seat in the centre block. I know I shouldn't say this, but it's not really worth the extra, as being a small theatre, there really aren't any bad seats.

Think there is a vague plan to meet for dinner before the show. Needless to say, I'm around and will go with the flow.

We're aiming to get there around 6:30pm so we can have a pre-theatre dinner somewhere nearby (Shaw tells me there are plenty of options) - so would be great to meet up with anyone else.

Show was as good as I recalled from seeing in Edinburgh and was certainly worth seeing again[^][^]

So much so, I might just go again before the run finishes[:w]

Fantastic evening all round[y]

Enjoyed the show, and the meal beforehand! Did learn that it's never wise to sit next to Darren though as drinks seem to fall on him from all heights...

A very enjoyable day was had by all. Excellent show Pete.

It did appear that I was rather unlucky with drinks. Firstly, while waiting for dinner to arrive, the waiter decided that I ought to have a beer. Instead of a glass, he thought just spilling it on me would be enough. Then as an encore, whilst in the pub waiting for the performance to start, the bottom of my glass decided that it wanted to go solo, depositing my drink in my lap.

Note to all for Paris - bring a waterproof!!

It's official. We are extending until the 24th January.

Performances at 9.30pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday next week, and then Tuesday-Saturday the week after.

So those in town for the PCP have no excuse for not catching the show now ;-)

Why can't the girls of Shyland Towers pay a return visit to the boys of St Ethelreds?
