I not sure if Keane has bottled it, just having to play a different role than he was to at Spurs. He's an 'in-the-hole' striker not upfront striker or a left sided striker. Even at Spurs, he was great when directing the flow of passes. He always found players in scoring positions (no different to how he is playing at Liverpool) and a lot of his goals were penalties.
