Hi All,

Quick question which I hope you helpful V-flyers will be able to assist me with [:)].

We're looking at using our Economy to Premium Economy AMEX upgrade vouchers on the Chicago route as it's one of the few USA routes that have availability (except NY) over the summer holidays.

We have never travelled Premium before, so my question is whether there is any difference (other than no V:Port) between Premium economy on the A340-300 and other Heathrow aircraft?

Cheers,
James

No the service is the same and you might have V-Port as G-VSUN is the one 343 a/c that has this syatem.

All 340-300's have the new PE seat in a 2-3-2 configuration which is the same as the 340-600.

You might have a chance of V-Port if you get GVSUN for your flight as it is the only 340-300 that has it installed - all the rest have Odyssey.

The only real difference that I can think of is that there is no dedicated toilet for PE on the 340-300.

One slight difference is that you do get more legroom in row 18 on the A343 than the A346 Other than that, they are pretty much idential, bar the (great!) loss of the dedicated loo.

Thanks,
Sarah

Having flown on an A340-300 to IAD last summer, the last time I flew on an A343 was still the 20th century, made me feel how I missed my V:Port. Good luck in getting G-VSUN.
