Either I'm missing something, or there appears to of been a cute move by our friends at MBNA.
Removed the ability to make ad haoc payments online?
The 'make payment' button appears to obvious by its absence?

Therefore removing the easy of making payment, therefore increasing your likelyhood of carrying balance into interest, therefore making money for MBNA..[:(!]

Anyone else noticed this?

It was there a couple of days ago. I suspect a website fault rather than a conspiracy. You can still call using the 0800 number.

The make payment button has also disappeared on my bmi mastercard account (also issued by MBNA). I need to make a payment today too.

I do hope this is a fault affecting all MBNA card accounts, as opposed to a deliberate act by MBNA to make it more difficult for people to pay off their card balances (hardly 'responsible action' in the current economic climate).

EDIT - have just spoken to MBNA, it is a fault & they hope it will be rectified in the next few hours. For unknown reasons, they will only accept a debit card payment of up to 500 over the phone, for 'security reasons'. Trip to the bank time for me if it's not fixed in a couple of hours.

I have checked this morning and I cannot see it. There is a make payment link but that only relates to a direct debit?
I want to make payment before I go on hoilday as by the time I get back it will be late.

Tried it again and it took me to the debit card payment page.

If anyone wants to send me the debit card number I'll test it end to end for you. [:D]
