Another new feature of BA Club Europe service is that they have changed the config to a 2+2 arrangement, as previously it was 2+3 on the 734 and A319/320 a/c.
Now a topic close to our hearts on this site, Kids in business class[:p] Whilst waiting to board a couple of business type people and I use that term loosley, who were very much in love were and swapping DNA and promising romantic horse riding trips in Hyde Park to each other suddenly commented and I quote ' you know honey the beaute of travelling in business is that they are not' They being my two little terrorists who were voicing their displeasure at waiting to board. Well having a couple of shandies in the business lounge I could not resist making comment that it was indeed their lucky day and we would be directly behind them. Oh how the smug grin fell and I laughed. The kids now had full permission to kick and climb on the seat in front. They would not of course but he did not know this. Kung Fu Panda would provide much better entertainment than some old slap head romantic.
Boarding completed and said couple were demanding pre flight drinks for which the excellent purser to be, politley refused their demands and would continue to mock their attitude throughout the flight. A mature BA purser who handled her shift perfectly and sussed the romantic couple out in 2 minutes flat to be 'attemptingly funny'
Usual BA club Europe service commenced with large Black Label and gingers being provided before meal run.
Kids meal was served first before the rest of the cabin which allowed us both time to organise the boys before our own meals. Kids meal was a very nice lasagne bake with various snack and friut juices. Adults meal was chicken pasta, beef stew or fish. Chicken pasta for me and beef stew for Mrs F. At this point jnr iforr 1 decided daddys chicken was much tastier than his own lasagne and so negotiations were undertaken. Cheddar bisciuts remained in possesion of jnr iforr. Red wine remained in daddys possesion. Fair deal I thought.
Throughout all this iforr jnr 2 remained fast asleep in the land of fluffy clouds.
Arrival into T5 was ok and border control relatively smooth although the officer did want to know what relation the travelling family were to me [:?]
Our pre arranged taxi delivered safe and sound back to Ashford where upon daddy realsised that the car keys for our chariot were still in Belgrade and the spare set does not have the alarm fob. Bugger.
Roll on Friday, UC here we come with kids in tow[}:)]
