Where has THAT Liverpool side been all year??? [?]
Thats the same side that won at Anfield also and beat a 'poor' Madrid team on Tuesday!
All done today without two key players in the side. Thats my gloating done.
Just pains me that we haven't been like this against the bottom half of the league.
Still Uniteds to throw away though.

Like that's going to happen. One glitch does not a summer make - or something like that [:p]
Seriously, I can't see anyone catching Man Utd in the league. Not too sure about the 'quintuple' though. Incidentally, and just to throw this in and maybe cause a ripple or two, how can a club go for the 'quintuple' when not every club is eligible to compete for the 5 trophies [:w]

Exactly. If anything they will come out more angry than ever and be wanting to prove to everyone that they are still the best in the land. I dont think Carrington can be a great place this morning. Would imagine SAF is going mad.

Not every club is eligible for Champions League or UEFA Cup either.[:w]
I'm just happy that Spurs are now up to their highest position all season.

MUFC won't win the League and will lose 4-2 to Porto. We're cooked.
GJ
GJ man of little faith.
MUFC are still in the driving seat and therefore will still win. A great team does not become rubbish over two games, although I have heard that the MUFC faithful are becoming increasingly annoyed with Ronaldo's attitude. Although it will be squeaky bum time for both you and I over the next couple of weeks.
I was a happy man on Saturday evening as the results had gone for us for once. Thank you to DA's men btw! And was rather pleased with yesterdays win especially when Torres had a shocker. The Friedel shouldn't have been given a straight red but the game was really over and done with by then.
Liverpool just need to keep winning games and winning well. The real test will come in a couple of weeks against Fulham, who could well 'park the bus' something that LFC do not like.
Spurs are now safe though 40 points is still the magical mark. Anyone from Bolton down could well occupy that 3rd relegation spot.

I'll be happier when we get to 50pts but shockingly we're only 10 pts away from a UEFA cup place.[:0][:0]
Amazing isn't it, though of course we are also only 9 points from the relegation zone, a tight year in the Premier ship.
GJ, you are more than welcome, there is nothing a Spurs fan loves more than seeing his seem screw over another London side [:D]

And the closeness of it all means the run in for the champions elect will be harder. In the past teams have almost given up once they have realised they cant make the UEFA Cup, are safe from relegation or have a Champions League place secured. Every team will be fighting for a win whether it be for PL survival, a European place, top half finish and so on.
Spurs run-in;
04 April @ Blackburn
11 April v West Ham
19 April v Newcastle
25 April @ Man Utd
02 May v West Brom
09 May @ Everton
16 May v Man City
24 May @ Liverpool
So, Spurs will have a say in the title, Uefa cup and relegation battles! Win against Everton and West Ham and we're in the hunt for Uefa cup place.

It pains me to say this but I'm now hoping for a Chelsea v Man Utd FA Cup final.
Reason being the UEFA Cup place for the Cup winner will then go to 7th place in the League and Spurs are only 3 points away from that!!!
I think you'll be fine whoever reaches the final as I reckon Everton will comfortably take 6th in the league, maybe even 5th the way Villa have dropped off.

Today's result was just magic
It was a great goal but no point gettting too carried away, United have had plenty of younsters come in, do something similar and then get shipped out to lesser teams for one reason or another. This lad did look special though, he was causing problems all the time.

And let's not forget Danny Welbeck's near-goal...that's one of my favourite things about MUFC is their yoof program. It's all about long-term planning and nurturing...great insight into this program is Beckham's autobiography.
I just back from playing my own Sunday league game and tried to do a copy of the Macheda goal a few times -- sent it over the bar and into the next county every time [:)]

Oh yes, Danny Wellbeck, he will go on to better things, I just hope he's patient enough to stay at United rather than going elsewhere to get first team football ona regular basis.
LOL, I feel your pain as an ex Saturday and Sunday league player myskef.
