Check-In
Check-in was quick with no queues and was directed to the lounge.
Lounge
I was given a warm welcome and shown around, the lounge was quick busy but managed to grab a sofa by the window. After have a drink I moved onto the dining area where I had the Tandoori chicken stir fry special which was delicious and spicy.
Boarding
An hour before the flight boarding was announced. Made my way past security which was quick and straight past the queue when the attendant saw my purple pass [8D] onto the plane. I think the plane was Queen of the Skies.
On Board
The plane was full and the UC cabin was quite large so it felt too busy and not very exclusive, unlike on a 747. The crew where attentive but seemed rushed off their feet a bit and the service did not seem very personal. The crew took orders for dinner and breakfast if required before takeoff. I had the flat iron beef fillet which was much nicer then the cod I had on the way out. That was followed by a very delicious and moist chocolate and banana cheesecake. After dinner by bed was made and I had a surprisingly good and comfy flights sleep. I was woken for breakfast which consisted of warm butter croissant, marble chocolate cake, a warm ham roll and hot chocolate.
Arrival
Our plane was one of the first to touch down at LHR was we arrived just before 0600. There was no queue for immigration but the baggage claim screens where broken so it was difficult to find out which carousel to go to. I then made my way to the Revivals Lounge where I took a shower and a lovely and relaxing foot massage. I then had another breakfast while I waited for my taxi.
In all, I think I enjoyed the flights more than I did the holiday! I'll post some photos of UC and the lounges later.
