We're off to Bali later this month flying with Malaysia Airlines via Kuala Lumpur.
Has anyone experienced their services recently? Any comments on the IFE or food would be appreciated.

Which class are you flying in?

Heard pretty good reports from a friend who has been out in KL alot on business. Never going to be in the league of SQ but still good service, good food and reasonable IFE.

I believe they are a 5* airline so should be good. My clients always report back favourably on MH even in economy and I believe they are quite generous with seat pitch in Y too.

I havent flown them since 2005 but I had no issues at all on my last flight. Generous seat pitch in J, good food and the usual stuff that is very typical of an Asian carrier. Not quite as good as SQ but close IMO. Avoid the A330 if you can and go for the 747/777's that are being refitted and have upgraded IFE. I believe you should get this aircraft to KUL from LHR.

My Uncle flies them reasonably regularly to KL in Economy and he is happy with them in terms of Y seat pitch and food.

Thanks,
Sarah

Thanks for all the info.[y]

Nice to have some insight about what to expect after many VS flights. We did fly with SQ twice last year and they were very good indeed.
The main reasons we chose MH were the flight times and connections and also the VS partner miles.[:D]

I found their legroom to be great however the selection of films wasn't great so take you laptop or load up your iPod before you go. [:)]
