The VS website now has a new and rather whizzy tool to plan and book your connecting flights from VS destinations. It uses a map with point-and-click to select your final destination.

It can be found HERE

Just having a play with it and seems to be very good, prices aren't too bad either and not restricted to VS partners.

Could be a useful tool. Just thought I would have a look and see what options it brought up for my MIA-MCO flight I was looking at. The VS site offers me a flight on AA that the AA website doesn't even list, and doesn't show the AA flight that I am looking at, not quite sure how accurate etc it is then!

Could it be because it only has the current schedules and the 20.45 AA flight to MIA-MCO is not effective until Jun 11th?[:?]

EDIT: Neil, is the flight that's not on AA, the 13.35dep (AA1886)? After checking a few other sites and doing a dummy booking, the search engine has a link to Priceline and they appear to have AA1886 incorrectly stored in their system. Other flight search engines have AA1886 to be leaving at 14:00.

I was playing with this last night for flights starting at MAN to JFK comparing it to my thru-ticket I booked with VS from MAN via LHR to JFK the other week.

You need to be a bit careful with it though, as the cheapest option it came up with was a BA flight MAN>LGW than a VS flight LHR>JFK so you would have to transfer airports in London [n] (which was still more expensive than what I paid though [:)])

I found it last night and did a little play with it putting in my route to NC in September. It came up with the two options I had researched using either United or Continental for my internal US flight. It also threw up for me that the Continental flight I have booked has disappeared completely!! [:0]

At this stage I am so familiar with the flight times out of ORK that I really don't need it for that part although I think it will be very useful for onwards connections

I think its a very useful addition. I'm taking the low cost airlines prices with a pinch of salt but good to know options involving them anyway
