After spending a lovely break at the Hyatt in Jersey city and seeing both the mets and the yankees play (and win!) it was time to head back to JFK for the return leg home.

I made use of the 'A' Subway train from lower manhattan to howard-beach JFK and made use of the Airtrain. Both were hassle-free and For $7 in total represent excellent value for money [y]

I arrived at JFK at approx 1400 and headed straight to the UC Check-In Desk where i was glanced at and asked 'are YOU travelling in upper class?' with a disapproving stare [V] After handing over travel documents and looking bemused, the check-in assistant reluctantly handed over my boarding pass and clubhouse invite.

Headed straight to the clubhouse where i was welcomed in with a tour of the facilities available along with a class of champers[:D]

Although small in contrast to the LHR clubhouse, it seems cosier and the service a bit more personal.

We were called to board at approx 1730 and headed straight through security after a flash of the purple boarding pass [}:)]

Again, Priority boarding was in place, and I was first on board, shown around the cabin and suite and offered a pre-flight drink

Taxiing at JFK always seems to take ages and this trip was not dissimilar and we took off about 20/25 minutes late.

No sooner then we take off then i see a guy walk past heading for the restroom. At another glace i realised it was Graham norton [:0]. I realised he was sat three seats behind me with some friends.

About 20 minutes into the flight we were offered dinner choices (from the new summer UC menu [:p] )

I opted for the soup of the day (Tomato and Basil), Parmasan crusted cod and the molten lava chocolate cake, all three dishes were excellent and filling.

V-port was working straight from the off and I managed to watch seven pounds, the only distaction being Mr Norton's chuckling after drinking several glasses of red wine [:(]

I managed to dose off for a few hours up until breakfast was served.

Cabin Crew were excellent with nothing be too much trouble, and although with a 'celebrity' on board everyone was treated as a special passenger [:D]

Landing was faultless and smooth, through immigration and customs easily enough and before i knew it i was collecting my luggage and into paddington station about 30 mins from landing [y]

The flight back was really the cherry on top of a great holiday and i hope to be flying with VS again soon [:)]

Hey thanks for the TR, I've heard Graham's a nice guy, like his shows. Glad the crew didnt ignore you as I've heard thats happened when a celeb is on board.

Another good read, thanks for sharing. Glad the crew didn't just fawn over Graham and made everyone feel special!
