Mine arrived today as well, 52.67 in total. The letter only mentioned Virgin, so hopefully another one to follow from BA.

As others have mentioned, it would have been nice to have a breakdown of the refund, just to see if they have included all the flights.

So sounds like there is no breakdown given what you got per sector? How odd. No way of checking to make sure they captured all your flights either if you just gave them your FC number (like I did).

Exactly, it just seems to be a standard format letter sent to everyone. Not sure if it is them trying to be clever and make us check with them to see if they have paid us everything we are due, but it seems a very shoddy way of doing it.

Incidentally, we also received a cheque for 20.12, which was for 2 return PE flights to NYC>

16.09 here too. I think I only had 2 qualifying flights x 2 people = 4 legs - these were Ls upgraded with miles to G - so this works out at 4.02 per leg which is less than I was expecting. These were LHR to LAX paid for in Sept 2005.

I just tried to check up on mine and it says 'A matching claim could not be found.' I have references #s that begin with 800 - I thought those were the correct references #s. I wonder if I should resubmit...[:?]

Mmm, methinks something isn't right here. Why was I lazy, and thought that submitting my FC number would be enough? Will mail them and see if they can send me a breakdown of the 'qualifying flights' they have for me, and the refund per flight.

16.09 here too.

Same for me - that looks a bit wrong...These are my VS flights within the date range (I don't think I took any BA ones) and the booked classes - a couple of the PE ones were upgraded with miles:
24 Dec 2004 - LHR-SFO, Premium Economy
08 Jan 2005 - SFO-LHR Upper Class
12 Mar 2005 - LGW-MCO Premium Economy
07 Apr 2005 - SFO-LHR Premium Economy

And then there are these 2 mileage reward flights
21 Sep 2005 - LHR-SFO Economy Cls
03 Oct 2005 - SFO-LHR Economy Cls

From their website: 'refund payments will range between 4 and 20 per passenger per round-trip ticket purchased in the U.K' [?]

Cheers
Michael

43.60 pp for us, a few PE trips on VS, which worked out about right when calculated initially.

Received a cheque yesterday for 6.91 - this was for 4 people LHR to LAX return at PE. My brother got 6.71 for two people LHR to NY economy - something wrong here.

I've emailed them to find out how they calculate their figures. Looking at the figures given here they must make them up as they go along. Maybe its time to sue the suers (sic).

When I get a moment I'll post all my actvity, but I know I had at least 8 qualifying flights (2 x 4 people) plus all my business trips.

So I am very sure it's more than 6.71 (BA - 1 Trip 4 Seats) and 15.94 (VS Many Trips)

I know that it's likely the refund fluctuates during the refund period, reflecting the actual dates you travel and the surcharge made at the time, however, I still think it's too low.

Didn't the amount of refund depend on when the actual flight was taken. IIRC, the date of the flight was then cross matched with what the surcharge was at that time, so in say 2005 the surcharge was less than in 2007 so that might be why there are such differing figures for everyone?

True, so if I recall they climbed up in stages during that period, and not down. So if you have more flights in the latter part of the claim period, you should get more back.

...which I do. Which is why 118 seems light. [:?]

That said - it's not like anyone forced anybody to buy flights at those prices. We all bought knowing the price that was. Hmmmm.

It is SERIOUSLY light given the amount of travel you have undertaken. They may have put the decimal point in the wrong place [:?]

Going to email them. I have the full breakdown of flights (but unfortunately not when they were *booked*) from my FC account, sector by sector - so let's see what they say.... [:?]
