If like me, you can happily wile away hours doing nothing but stare at a computer screen, why not try this website: ShipAIS

It's basically showing live locations of ships all over the UK, from Dover - Calais ferries to oil tankers. It even tells you where they are going and whether lighthouses are manned or not. Just click on a square for more details. Amazing amount of shipping around our island.

It's vaguely fascinating, I can't stop looking at it.

I use the AIS website, it shows the whole world ! And you can find specific ships as well, I will check out your link when I get home.
