So we can guess that the MCO flights will be delayed again as ramp workers are not allowed to play in the rain.

Ooohm, so all tomorrow's MCO flights will be delayed and we'll have five posts here about it?

In fairness to the MCO ramp workers, there is no way I would want to be out on the ramp in anything like the thunderstorm we took off into back in mid-May. (We got out of the airport just before it was expected to close).

As long as they differentiate between a rain and a thunderstorm, then I have no problem with them closing the airport when the latter occurs.

Although we still have lighting ocurring and no offical announcement that the airport is open there is some movement of planes on the ground.

It appears that a BA flight has been diverted to Miami with a new arrival time of 8pm local time.

Both the VS MAN and LGW flights managed to get in although the latter one must of landed in the full storm.

At the moment the MAN return flight is showing as on time.

Its that time of year. I work over in orlando at MCO. The storms are pretty typical at the start of the tropical season. My flight in from LGW last week was nearly diverted to Tampa. Its pretty common to do this as the storms are very severe at its pretty unsafe to opearate outdoors.

I was on VS75 yesterday from MAN. We flew right next to a storm as we came over Daytona beach but it was sunny when we landed. However after a long immigration process we got to the train to take us to the main terminal building to be welcomed by a massive storm, the arrivals and departures board had delays all over the place. I was wondering just how long we'd been waiting at immigration, it was like a whole different day.

I hope your flight was out on time!
