That is a valid point, but my feeling of disappointment isn't really about the level of fares, it is the destinations that are included.

I wasn't really expecting a sale to end all sales, I just wanted some decent PE fares to destinations like Miami, Boston & SFO.

It is always a fine balancing act, but I get the impression that VS need an injection of cash to help them ride out the current squeeze.
There are fewer businesses paying top dollar for premium seats, so why not try and get some more bums on seats for later in the year on the NYC / SFO ?LAX routes?

If I book now for travel in October / November / December, VS is sitting on my cash to help it pay the bills.

This is just me guessing, but maybe that massive sale they had earlier in January (when I booked my flights) did fill a lot of seats?

Mind you, the constant mini-sales since then seem to say something else...
