Hi I am booked on a flight to Barbados in August: the BGI to LGW seats are great upstairs, but the LGW to BGI seats are not so good.81 D E F G or are they good seats!!!

As certain seats are released on the day:

Can I check in online and change my assigned seats even though mine have been assigned?

Shall I do twilight check in and change my seats at the airport if possible?

Or shall I just check in on the day early at the airport and change my seats?

In a roundabout way I suppose I am asking what the best way to change my assigned seats

Of course the other hope is as the VS 29 seems to be operated a lot by LHR aircraft in which case less PE and more [:?]

The best way to change your seats is the moment that OLCI opens as on 60% are available for pre-allocation. At OLCI the rest with the exception of exit rows and bulkheads become available then. If you are not happy with the selection after that, then the other alternative is to go to the airport as early as possible

And yes, you can change your seats even though you have already selected them

Thats great thanks for your reply, from the seat map the flight looks full but i guess thats only 60% of the seats being available.

So just to clarify even though the seat map has no other seats for me to choose , when OLCI opens i can change my seats to other seats that currently show not avaialble.

If they are not available because they are being held back for OLCI yes - i.e. you still won't be able to get the exit rows etc.
