Ryanair reduces Stansted flights

These 40% cuts are being heavily trailed on both BBC and SKY with their breaking news tickers going over board.

It is blaming airport costs (assume this is a dig at BAA) and APD

I would offer the suggestion that it may have something to do with O'Leary and his strange PR antics rather than BAA (et al) charges that ALL airlines have to cope with [:?][:w]

Naturally, it's the BAA and Uk governments fault, and nothing to do with Ryanair's overcapacity or the public tiring of Ryanairs ever-increasing hidden charges at all,

My goodness, Stansted might return to being a nice airport to use!

Noting that last winter Ryanair had 28 planes based at STN so down to 24 this winter is hardly a 40% reduction ... spin more like and a chance to blame everyone else for their woes (which are probably similar woes to every other airline).

Glad to see sensible V-Flyers seeing through this immediately [;)].

Now you know that's not true. Ryanair pay significantly lower charges than most other airlines!!

The harmonies may change but the melody is always BAA.

Got to admire his timing, just before there are the 'busiest airport weekend of the year' headlines, spiced up with a few 'refused to fly us' stories.

Although BBC Headlines show a 40% decrease, the actual report stresses it is only 4 planes fewer than last winter.

Still, as ever all news is good news - acres of air time now being squandered to supplemnt RA's marketing budget.
