Here's an interesting idea - some airlines are introducing premium economy, El Al going in the opposite direction and (presumably) sectioning the rear Y cabins as LCC!

Interesting, on a similar theme to Air Asia.

I liked the quote about El Al passengers bringing picnicboxes.

The easyJet effect clearly at play.
If Low Cost airlines have taught us anything, it's that if you want to compete with them, you reduce your prices and flood the market with seats on your route.
Tinkering with fares isn't enough.

As this question was raised on another forum and didn't really get a good answer.

So the back rows are going to be Y-, how can you tell if one of the pax get's up and move to a regular Y seat, so getting all the regular Y service ?
