Item here in Saturday's Times cites a number of retailers getting miffed as there is not one common standard.

Nice idea, but I can't see it happening any day soon. It would be much better if airlines actually enforced the rules they have now.

I'll second that. So frustrating when people stuff big heavy bags in the overhead bins - still, they've gotta put the wife somewhere!

I don't see any comments from the USA on this thread.... Only reason I say this is they appear to have bags normally associated with voyages on ocean liners in the 1920's crammed into the overhead lockers!

Still, this can only be a good thing. I;ve no idea what constitutes 12 x 13 x elevnteen and a half
