Clearing security at JFK: How much time do I need?

Hi all,

As its been ages since I have flown out of JFK T4 can someone advise as to how much time it usually takes to clear security?

I'm asking due to the lounge being landside...

Not long. There is a channel for UC folks at security. I would say 30 minutes BUT ask the CH staff when entering. they would know best as things change quickly.

Took me less than 10 minutes when I went though in June (and that wasn't a priority line either)

Plan for 5 mins to 45 mins ...

If you're on the VS45 and it arrives on schedule just after the flight from the Ukraine and one from Italy, 45 mins if you're near the front of the queue and the US lanes are not being used to add capacity.

If you're on the VS9, it can be a lot less, same for the VS3.

And then, it depends what class of travel you're in and whether you're no. 10 off the plane or no. 300 ...

Er, slinky, the question was about flying OUT of T4 at JFK [|:)]

It was indeed about travelling out of T4 hence why I said security and not immigrations... [:)] talking of which, arriving at T4 on Friday took almost 2 hours to clear immigration!
