Most airlines offer a 'welcome bonus' when joining their FF program. BMI have been doing this for ages now.
The VS 'miles more friends' scheme used to credit bonus miles both to the referrer and your friend (on top of their standard flight earnings) unless this has now changed?
Edit to add - MMF still does credit booth parties with bonus miles:
quote:SPREAD THE WORD. SHARE THE WORLD.
Tell your friends about Flying Club and if they join, theyll soon be earning you bonus miles when they fly with us around the world.
All you need to do is send them an email. As soon as they sign up to Flying Club and share the Virgin Atlantic experience on their first flight, bonus miles will be added to your account. How many miles? That depends on the cabin theyre flying in:
2,000 miles if they take their first round trip in Economy
5,000 miles if they take their first round trip in Premium Economy
10,000 miles if they take their first round trip in Upper Class
Your friend doesn't get left out of the bonuses either. Not only will they enjoy the benefits of being a Flying Club member, but theyll also earn up to 3,000 bonus miles, when they take their first flight with us
