Hi

It is possible to take a guest to the ClubHouse if you are a Gold Flying Club member.

Is this also true for the Revivals lounge at LHR T3? The member benefits don't mention it although they do for the ClubHouse.

Any ideas?

Welcome to V-Flyer George.

No you can't - that's why it isn't mentioned.

That is a shame (and a bit odd) that my companion can only enjoy the lounge on one leg of the trip. Guess it just isn't big enough to deal with the extra folk.

Thanks for the speedy reply though - much appreciated.

Revivals is much, much smaller than the Clubhouse and with a lot of the early morning flights arriving at the same time its facilities are stretched - especially with regard to showers. I often have to wait or even forego these when it cuts into my connecting time.

Space is also very limited

George, if it's any consolation, the Revivals experience -- though a welcome one with showers, decent kibble and all the morning's tabs with their footy news -- is far less a spectacle than the Clubhouse. The design is not particularly enthralling and it's much more an in-and-out vs. lounge-and-linger situation. If your guest is going to have only one of the two opportunities, the CH is most certainly the one to enjoy.

Thanks for the help.

We had a great trip and the LHR CH was superb as ever. Flight was delayed coming back so no time for the Revivals lounge anyway as was late for work!

Actually I've taken a guest in a couple of times now, they charge 30 quid. I'm normally on VS 10 so it's pretty empty by then.

Well you must be THE exception - can you please provide us with a reliable source of this information ?

I overheard someone at Front Desk discussing that her guest should have been charged the 30 but as they didn't notice they would wave the fee. Can't find any reference online to the 30 charge tho.

Ask and you shall receive (for a fee)? Well, in my experience it's been 'ask and you may, on a space-available basis'. Coming off VS20 you've got a couple of hours of revivals pretty much on your own, and it used to be a more acceptable way of spending said two hours than hanging around the old Lufthansa lounge in T2. When I've been in company, I asked to be able to take my BH one time we were in PE, and got the same offer. There were four or five people in the lounge, so it was OK.

It is entirely at the discretion of the front desk staff, and if you are coming in on an earlier flight, be prepared to be told no.
