Saw news on this on a.net and see here.

Apparently declared a mayday due to fuel leak in an engine and returned to make a heavy landing, then sat on the taxiways for several hours for tire changes before being towed to a stand. All passengers rerouted on other flights.

Can't have been jolly but glad all safe.

Glad all is well for the passengers; Shame the A/C didn't live up to its name of 'Plain Sailing'...

Is it dawning on anyone how ironic it is that VS parks 3 planes last week and are now down another one for a while ?

Any idea's what this has done to the schedule ?

An hour into the flight and then an further hour back to HKG, would be rather scary being on that flight.

Glad everyone was OK.
