Apologies if this has been discussed before. I tried a search, but couldn't find anything. It seems the mileage requirement to book a chauffeur driven car separately when flying a UC reward or upgrade flight is now 17,500. It used to be 12,500. Have I got this right?

Looks like it is - very interesting snip with no announcement that I have seen.

At 17,500 miles it's nearly the value of a PE to UC upgrade ... weird.

Crikey, that's a stealthy increase! Thats just about made the option of buying a CDC completely pointless!

Thanks,
Sarah

Wow, a 40% increase in the number of miles needed, that seems a rather large, I bet any increase in cost to VS wasn't anywhere near that big.

Using my Virgin credit card last week for a USD spend (with the poor exchange rate I get on it) to get myself a car for the reward flight I'm taking in November wasn't the smartest move I ever made [B)]

Thats such a crap decision surely even less pax will be inclined to use that service now! not sure why thats been done? i wonder if the trial is now coming to an end and that VS think that now loads of people have tried it that they cant live without it now, and so hiking the miles needed to try and reduce FF miles in this way.

Would this be another part of the programme talked about earlier this month[:?]

cheers
