I booked a PE flight to Orlando and upgraded (via manage your booking) to UC just checked my statement and it shows 6504 Discounted Upper Class 5 Tier points last time I flew PE to Orlando I got same miles but 5 tier points,is this correct, and will this be the same on the return flight (also upgraded from PE to UC)

The lowest two UC fare buckets - Z & R - earn the same number of miles as the highest two PE fare buckets - W & S. This could explain the miles earned being the same as on your last trip in PE. What is confusing is the tier points, as all PE fares only get 3 TP's per single flight, irrespective of the fare bucket the ticket is in. Likewise for UC, it's 5 TP's per single flight, irrespective of the fare code.

You must have gotten lucky last time then. You earn 5TP's per sector when flying in UC (irrespective of fare code), 3TP's in PE and 2TP's in Y.

The mileage earning levels have changed recently, and it is all to do with which fare code your ticket was in. So if your previous PE ticket was an S class and your new UC ticket was a Z class you earn the same number or miles, but just get any TP's for flying UC. The current levels earned are:

Number of base flown:
Economy Lowest (X,V,N):50%
Economy (Y,B,L,M,Q):100%
Premium Economy (K,H):125%
Premium Economy (W,S):150%
Upper Class (R,Z):150%
Upper Class (J,D)200%

The above excludes are bonus miles you might or might not have been entitled to.

In other words...Be very very quiet and if questioned, point out that the FC has terned into a bunch of out of control lunatics since our beloved one left.
