Boeing 787 to make first flight

Sorry, got a little too excited before I'd read the article.
It basically says it will fly before the end of the year with delivery starting in Q4 2010.

Not really good news.

So its going to fly for the first time this year and then they expect to make deliveries end of next year? Can't see that myself!

Nor can I, this aircraft just seems to have delay after delay.

What I love though is over on a.net when Airbus was announcing numerous delays on the 380, were slating Airbus for the delays.

Fast forward a couple of years and we have Boeing announcing similar delays to a new airliner- of course a.net is very quiet on the issue!

Interesting that the BBC thinks the A350-900 entered service in 2007! [V] And that they are comparing the 900 against the 787-8 rather than the 800 [ii] [|:)]
