FC Miles on DJ flights

We recently completed some Sydney to Hamilton Island flights with DJ, and on the outbound flight the customer service people added our VS FC membership numbers onto our booking.

On the way back the checkin agent at HI did n't know how to do it.

Anyone have any experience in how quickly these get added, or do I need to write in and get them credited ?
