Does anyone know if VS will be moving to the brand new Concourse A at MIA when it re-opens early next year? British Airways were orriginally there but have moved to the same shabby Concourse J that Virgin use at MIA.[:?]

I find it currently uses F and that serves the purpose adequately and can see no reason why Virgin would move their current operation for just one or two flights a day.

I thought BA and VS flew from F gates at MIA? I did last time I was there.

As to when A reopens, it would be nice but I haven't seen anything about VS. BA, I have read, will be moving back and opening a new Terraces and F lounge.

Yes VS still uses the F gates in Miami.

Surprised how easy it was arriving at MIA last year, was expecting trauma going by what people had said, immigration was a friendly breeze.

Thw wiki page (and yes that may not be 100% accurate but MIA could soon put them right) says that the north terminal will be for AA and oneworld.

It also says that the Admirals Club and Terraces will reopen.

In answer to the OP, A is actually not going to re-open. What is happening is that A and E are being joined/merged into D in order to make one huge North Terminal. So in a sense they are just adding what was the A concourse onto the side of the D concourse. As others have posted the new North Terminal will be home to One World carriers.

Work on J was completed last year and currently houses all one world carriers except AA, IB and BA. The grand plan is that J and H will be merged to form the South Terminal. In the long term I believe that F will be knocked down and we will see VS moving terminal but I think we are talking at least another 5 years or so.

Yeh if your up the front its easy as pie, especially since BA/VS immigration is done withint Terminal F rather than Terminal E which is where the nightmare immigration of past was experienced. BY having all the European flights spaced out and handled through the an exclusivly european flight immigration hall, the authorities can keep queues down to a minimum. Having said that the lack of passing opportunities in F means that if your in Y there will be a 30-45min wait at immigration.
