Shall I book now or wait

My flights for next year have just been released to MCO. for PE it is 1144. Is this price likely to reduce or get higher as time goes on? The upgrade to UC for the outward flight is showing at 320. If I book PE what is the likelihood of this reducing nearer the time if seats are available?

Hi Gill,

I think the advise given in this thread which asked a little while ago, still stands for your current question.

UC prices are only likely to get more expensive the nearer the flight gets as all the cheaper bucket seats will have been sold, leaving only the more expensive ones left.

It really is a impossible question to give an accurate answer on, as no-one can predict what is going to happen with the loads/fares etc.

If you're happy to pay the price, then go for it. Yes it is a gamble, but if you wait, it can go up too.

Either way, once booked, never be tempted to see what the current price is.

Whilst there are more seats in PE, it is still very popular on the MCO route, so the same applies really as UC. The only slight difference is that sometimes PE to MCO is included in the sales, but that is usually only during the less busy/peak periods.

As for upgrades from PE to UC, then what I said above should be correct. With their being so few UC seats, which are popular, the cheaper fares will go first, thus meaning the upgrade prices will be more expensive.

As you say the flights have just been released, I presume you are travelling during the summer school holidays where all airlines charge a premium, irrespective of loads[V]

If that is the case i would go along with Darren and say if you are comfortable with the price then go for it - especially as we are talking MCO.

I would jump at a 320 upgrade price [;)]
