I've booked a trip to Orlando for September 2010 via virgin holidays, I tried to upgrade my flights today but it've been told that they are unable to book me for uc on the way home on the way home. Do you think it's booked? or do you think that seats will come up later on if I keep checking?

Welcome to V-Flyer [y]

Bearing in mind that the LGW/MAN fleet only have 14 UC seats, and they can be sold very easily, Virgin Holidays may well have already sold their allocation. It's another few days before VS release the remaining open seats under the 330 day rule.

All in all, I would be more inclined to look at PE for upgrades

Darren has summed it up pretty well, but it certainly won't harm to keep checking, quite often people can put a hold on seats with both VS and VH for 48hrs or so, but then they don't confirm them so they get released again.

Good news for you is that you are going September, which isn't the busiest time for UK travellers to Orlando, so again, this could work in your favour. One other thing to try is when the VS seats are released, ask VH is they can request some more UC seats from them. Of course there is no guarantee VS will release any more, but it doesn't harm to ask.

Welcome to V-Flyer and I hope you manage to get things sorted one way or the other.
