A flock of starlings 'almost brings the plane down, err no, not even close, a flock of geese, yeah sure, that's been proven, a flock of chickens, you have bigger problems...but starlings, nope not going to happen, the CFM's will spit them out without an issue, the plane will land again, be removed from service, the engine will be boroscoped to check for any damage and then be put back into service.

If birds have the right to strike, what's next? Dogs? Cats? I don't at all relish negotiating with me budgie.

Socialism takes another fearful step forward...

That'll be VS in flight catering then - as they said, going green and recycling to beat that landfill target the crew always chirp on about before disembarking.

Oh, and I can't believe I clicked a link to the Daily Heil Web site [:(][:#].

What has me scratching my head the most is how a German airline could name themselves Germania.

Ok, is it only my dirty mind, or did anyone else really chuckle at the way that URL is formed? [;)][:o)]

All I will say is that the earlier 'editions' of the web page stated that the pitot tubes in the close up picture were actual birds striking the aircraft[:0]

Good Ole' Daily Mail investigative reporting strikes once again[}:)]
