Hi all,

I'm flying this Wednesday on VS045 (now an A340-600). My booking is giving me the option to upgrade to PE for the princely sum of 1,500!! Does this ever go down on the day of the flight at check in or stay at a premium because of loads in PE?

Thanks in advance!

It depends on the loads and how over booked Y and if they need people to move around. The loads for Wednesday is

J9 D9 R9 Z9 W0 S0 K0 Y7 B7 L6 M3 Q0 X0 N0

PE is sold out, UC looks wide open too.

Hope this helps.

PE upgrade for 1500 one way - they are having a laugh aren't they?

I don't know if it will be any cheaper, at the airport but I certainly can't see it being any dearer.

I have not experienced any bargain on the day upgrades to NYC / BOS. I have always found the cheapest way to fly in PE is to book in PE (preferably during a sale.)

Others may disagree.

I think it was 1500 for both ways - although now it seems the option isn't there anymore. The fare was booked via a client so I had to get what I was given unfortunately!! Such is life eh?

From the figures Dom has posted, it looks like PE is fully sold out, so I can't see there being any upgrades available at all let alone any cheap ones. The 1500 must have been because it was upgrading you to a W fare due to the full PE loads.

Ah well - you live and learn - managed to nab 38C on the outbound which isn't too shabby - although will push for an exit row once check in closes at the gate - I sometimes have luck with that!
