For the BOS flights the site lists flights 11/12 as usual but also 53/54, where did they come from?

So, a fairly limited set compared to BA who have more than 80 destinations on sale including LAS and MCO which could really hurt VS. But still, let's not look at a horse ... mouth ... etc.

Was tempted to book my 2010 Bay to Breakers flight, but will wait until the January sale I think.

I am tempted too Darren - worried that by Jan all the cheap seats will have gone and I will have to book a J. I think we all should have a seroius think about this with a view of taking advantage sooner rather than later

Will it be cheaper to book it now as don't all the taxes go up this weekend?

53/54 were the 3 or 4x weekly late evening outbound and daylight return that ran a few years ago. Maybe it's coming back... would suit me!

Morning all

Tried to book for an April flight to LHR -LAX rtn Mia - LHR and though the prices come up as 1622.10 on the main pane, when you continue on to make the booking it raises right back up (it states these cheaper fares no longer availible) I've tried some made up dates and destinations and it is the same for all? Any advice team? BA remain the lowest..even their First is coming up cheaper still than VA!!!

The APD increase is already loaded and has been for months, it is the departure date that is the critical factor.
It won't make any difference when you book it, Oct or Nov.

I'm hoping the postal strike doesn't delay my new Virgin black credit card so I can book in the next few days and really rack up the flyer miles for minimal outlay! :-)

We could I guess, although I always book our next holiday/flights within the week after us getting back, it helps me get over the post holiday blues. I suppose breaking my 'routine' just this once won't harm.

Definately got to agree with you there Neil. My wife and I have booked our last three trips that way. Only been back from NYC a week and already looking to book the next trip within the next week, especially now the fares have gone on sale.
