I'm booked VS to BGI in December and am about to sort the hotel. Torn between Crystal Cove and Mango Bay.. one deciding factor may be if VS has a check in facility at either, or both, hotels. Does anyone know? and any comments regarding which hotel would also be welcome...

We have stayed at Crystal Cove, it was a lovely hotel. We had the 1 bedroom ocean front suite, it was fabby.. Its a small hotel and we found the food excellent, slow service but who cares.. The whole experience for us was lovely, we would go back in a heartbeat. I will put some piccies on,

Mango Bay was the hotel we used on our first caribbean trip about 5 years ago. I think it's been updated since we went.

We enjoyed staying there. Rooms were a good size and air conditioned, the food was good and didn't fall into the trap of trying too hard to be cuisine, and the staff were friendly. It's in a good location for getting into Bridgetown, and there are a few restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. You can also wander over towards Sandy Lane and wonder why...

IIRC the only downside was that if the tide was in the beach virtually disappeared.

We have been to Crystal Cove a couple of times, agree nice rooms we also had the Ocean front suite. On our last visit furnishings were getting very tired, maybe its been refurbed since but coupled with poor staff attitude I wouldn't be in a rush to return.Only other place we have been is The Royal Pavilion good but $xxxxs.

Last year Mango Bay didn't have Check In Chill Out but we never found it a problem. The staff even carried out bags down to the coach at the end of the street.

Don't you have to book flights and hotel through Virgin Hols together to get Check In Chill Out? OP seems to suggest that he has already booked flights?

Thanks everyone for your comments... in the end availability dictated the eventual selection so Crystal Cove it is!

Don't know if it's changed recently but back in 2007 Check In & Chill Out was a Virgin Atlantic and not a Virgin Holidays service.
