Just Curious...

Do all of VS fleet have crew rests on them? i seem to remember the 343 had one but it was removed? Can anyone shed more light on that? And if the aircraft do have crew rests are they used on every flight or do only certain flights qualify?

Become crew and you'll find out! [:w]

I believe that the 747's have a crew-rest at the back, slightly upstairs in the tail section of the aircraft. On the A346 I was on the other week, the CC member at the bar told me the crew-rest was downstairs. I don't know if this a permanent crew-rest or sort of double cargo container crew-rest (like I know LH use on some Airbus aircraft - search Airliners.net for pics, there are some on there).

As Tinkerbelle has said, if you want the finer details, become crew. (Kind of difficult when the airlines are not recruiting though!)

Ryan:

I noticed that you are posting more crew-related questions on A.net - are you updating your website (that has remarkable similarities to V-Flyer) again?

I really dont think comments like that are necessary. You may not
realise, but your comments are coming across as rather rude have I
done something to offend you? Please make me aware if I have, because
thats the last thing Id want to do.

Well sorry if you think if I am being rude but the truth is you only ever post crew related questions - and even posting crew related questions on another site - so forgive the cynicism!

I assume VS have a rather large crew rest area on flights returning from MIA ;-)

The A343 & A346 have what's called an LDMCR, which can be removed to increase cargo capacity or reduce weight. Most airlines just fit them & leave them, but some will remove for certain flight. Some A345/346 (not VS) have a fixed crew rest at the back of the aircraft in place of the bulk cargo bay.
