Question about sale

I am planning to take a trip to the US around May of next year and haven't decided where exactly to go or for how long. I am thinking that it would be better to forego this sale and wait until early next year when I will be in abetter position to make up my mind. Speaking from experience there will surely be other sales available before May of next year.

However, I can see that many people are already booking sales flights for well into next year and I am just wondering if I am missing something, e.g. is this VA's last sale for a while? are prices going to increase exhorbitantly so that future sale prices will be actually be a few hundred more than they are now?

There is usually always a sale just after Christmas. Over the last several years BA and Virgin always have the big sales late August/ September and late December/January.

The ad hoc sales I expect are driven by the economy

So probably not a problem to wait until December to book
