Recent Tel Aviv Airport experience anyone?

I may have to travel to Israel in the near future, and wondered if anyone has any experience of departures from there recently. Last time I went through TLV departures, it was a nightmare, a real rugby scrum and chaotic for non-El-Al flights (although an El Al flight departure was the opposite).

TLV is a busy airport, partially due to the extra security checks I think, though we had lounge access and didn't notice any delays once we were through security. Getting onto the plane was pretty normal. Having only been once we are far from experts though.
