Possible to get into revivals lounge on silver?

My girlfriend and I are traveling to London from Dulles on Wednesday. I've been a loyal customer of VS and she a loyal customer of BA, so when we decided to plan our trip we each just decided to use our air miles for our airlines.

Because of this, my plane takes off an hour before hers and get in about 1:45 before hers as well. I'm at flying club silver, but used air miles to book my flight... I know you need to fly upper or be gold to use the revivals lounge, but is there any shot to request use of it so I can wait for her in the lounge rather than sitting by the arrivals gate at Terminal 5?

Regretfully very unlikely - it's not a large lounge - hence not being able to take in guests as an Au or Upper Class pax.

Whats probably worse is that there are no shower facilities at LHR at Terminal 3 or 5. But then its going to take you a while to clear immigration and hike over to Terminal 5 so the wait isn't going to be too long.

There's a Cafe Nero and an Italian place I recall to grab something to eat.

But the revivals lounge is guarded by lounge dragons of great ferocity. I've seen people try it and fail a few times sadly.[:#]

A couple of weeks ago I flew into T3 in Upper Class - when I entered Revivals, the Dragons (& staff) were all chatting at the service counter/bar. A dragon reluctantly walked over and just asked me my surname (not an overly unusual one) and the flight number I'd come in on. She then checked her computer printouts, found my name and directed me to an available shower room. At no time did she ask me for sight of my boarding pass from the flight.

We did enter Revivals well after the main morning rush - I can only hope they are a bit more thorough about who they admit when it really is busy. As others have said, it's not a huge lounge, but the draw of a hot shower & decent bacon sandwich (forget the dry bacon roll in UC) after a long flight... Revivals is well worth doing if 'home' is more than an hour or so's journey, IMO.

We were furnished with an invitation when leaving EWR on a recent flight, which was requested when we entered.

I've always had to show either my boarding pass stub or passport to be checked against the lists.

Certainly never found the team dragon-like, but most welcoming and very gentle on tired, jet-lagged passengers.

Dragons as a term certainly applies in some places, but I've never found the Revivals staff to need to be categorized as such.

mattdell, as people have said, in your case unfortunately it will be a case of 'computer says no' and revivals do not bend the rules.

I have alwyas found the staff in Rivials welcoming but hav never been asked for my BP stub or Gold card - just name and flight number. Then again I do have a very unusual surname so didnt/dont think anything off it tbh.

I have a return UC ticket booked with VS to Sydney outward is VS200 but inward is SQ. I thought it worth asking the 'can I use revivals please?' question as it was booked as a VS Upper Class flight but unfortunately the rules do not permit. Revivals is much smaller than the CH and for that reason alone they must be more selective who uses it - even to the point of excluding me!!

Why did you come to DC?

When I was in Revivals yesterday morning, the couple in front of me were paying for entry. I'm not sure who they were and how. Any ideas?

We were in Upper and our names were on the list, under the flight number. When we flew back from EWR in March we had invitations.

I think at the moment Virgin is happy to do anything that it can to get more cash in from pax and if there is space in CH & Revivals they will sell it.
They will never promote this as this would devalue the brand and UC and AU pax would moan about the riff raff but if customers ask then they may be surprised at what they can get.
There is no harm in asking.

BAA website says there aree showers on the arrivals level (landside) in T4

Not ideal as your arriving at T3 and meeting your girlfriend at T5

The time it takes you to clear immigration and transfer to T5 vs the time it will take her, will probably even itself out and you won't have long to wait. I was on the train 17 minutes after leaving the aircraft last time I used T5.
