I've just had the following email...

quote:Dear Customer,

We are keen to learn about your flying experiences since you completed an onboard customer satisfaction survey for Virgin in December 2006.

There are no right or wrong answers, and we would be just as interested to hear that you havent taken any flights since December 2006.

To take part in this short survey, simply click on the link below. If the text below does not appear as a link, copy and paste the address into your Internet browser's address line.

START SURVEY

You can complete the survey at your convenience up until midnight on Tuesday 24th November 2009, when we will close the survey.

On completion of the survey you will be entered into a free prize draw for a chance to win 250. Please click here to read the prize draw rules.

Thank you in advance for your time,

The Virgin Atlantic Research Team

Needless to say the link to the survey just comes up with error 404 'Page Not Found'... I know this is being run by an outside contractor (ABA Market Research Ltd.) but it's not great for Virgin's PR that they can't even get this right!!!

Yup abandoned the survey. It was silly. I don't remember what flights I took in 2007...

As soon as I ticked the I can't remember the flight in Nov 06 box it took me out of the survey but said I had entered the prize draw[?]

That was the quickest survey I've ever filled in[y]

I got it too[:?][:?]

Even though I cited VS as the carrier for my flights it insisted on asking if I chose the flight because of a previous BA experience.

No doubt some trainee has put it together - should have asked Pete & Mat for a proper job[:D]

Me too. I ticked the 'yes' because I did indeed remember taking a flight from Washington in 2007. Then the 'don't know/can't remember' box seemed reasonable when asked detailed questions about how good/bad it was (it was over 2 years ago for goodness sake). But then to be asked to list the three international flights I took immediately after that?! You have to be joking. I would be surprised if more than 5% of respondents could dig up that information. For 90% of the remaining people organised enough to keep records, it will be too much trouble. Like me, they will abandon at that point.

Must be the most stupid survey I have ever seen.
